This building had been covered and neglected for many years until the current women-owned public relations firm bought the structure at a discounted price. The simple restoration mission was to remove all exterior material not original to the building and restore the “golden” brick facade. The hardwood eyebrow canopy was rebuilt with durable cedar wood and typical vernacular steel tie rods angled from the parapet wall. As it did nearly 100 years ago, the rebuilt hardwood storefront with clear transom windows above the eyebrow canopy allows maximum natural light high into the entry area of each tenant space.
