Professional design services for Fort Myers and SW Florida
Offices Located in Fort Myers Downtown Historic River District
Downtowns bring people together. They do it much more efficiently than automobiles, airplanes and boats. This age old fact is why the success or failure of region is directly related to the success or failure of its downtown. We believe a more diverse project, very typical of urban designs, is a more economically sustainable project for itself and for its neighbors. This underlying concept for sustainable architecture and planning is always in the mindset of our design process.
Projects in historic preservation may vary in size from the preservation of a small historic building to the preservation of an entire historic district. As a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and first chairman of the City of Fort Myers Historic Preservation Commission, architect Michael Flanders has the professional experience; expertise to design any type project with involvement in historic preservation. The office of Flanders Architecture, Inc. has been established in the downtown Fort Myers historic district for decades and it is located in its own renovation design of a 1926 historic building on Dean Street.
These type of projects are customized to the needs and desires of the client. Our office will first understand the wishes of the owner, analyze the site, and then evolve the design process to an affordable solution in an understandable architectural statement. Our office welcomes potential clients to first come and sit with us in an initial discussion to see if we can meet your goals and objectives.
